Why do we find it easier to be kind to others than to ourselves?

It's a common theme in my recent coaching conversations - the lack of kindness towards ourselves. Are you constantly meeting everyone's needs, excelling at work, striving to be the perfect partner and parent, yet rarely acknowledging your own achievements? You're not alone.

Why do we prioritize being kind to others over ourselves? It's time to prioritize self-kindness. By taking care of ourselves first, we can create a kinder, healthier, and more sustainable work-life balance. We need to allow ourselves to breathe, be vulnerable, ask for help, rest, and celebrate even the smallest victories.

In the image below, I cherish a quiet morning moment alone, appreciating the view and simply existing. This is how I show kindness to myself. As the week wraps up, I encourage you to find a moment this weekend to be kind to yourself. Whether it's enjoying the September sun, taking a break, or celebrating your accomplishments, make self-care a priority. Tell me in the comments what you will do to be kind to yourself?
